Our past
Started in 1949 by two innovative, tinkering brothers named Lynn and Russ. These brothers had lived through the Great Depression and World War II and throughout their lives had developed a driving curiosity about how things worked. So they combined their experience and started Marco Products which focused on building unique products for local industrial customers. This new-found adventure enabled them to tinker and also support their young, growing families. Marco Products eventually became Lynrus as the brothers shifted their focus to a successful product line of lifting and safety products for the school gymnasium market nationwide. As the company grew significantly as the major provider for these products, Russ Margetts, Russ Sr.’s son, took over operations and ownership of the business in 1995. He helped the business modernize and automate to meet the needs of the growing market. Then, after nearly 25 years of exciting growth and new opportunities, Russ sold the company in 2018 to his son Tyler Margetts who is the current owner. Tyler has focused on continued growth and diversity through process improvement, continued modernization, and the creation of LR Dynamics to actively pursue acquisition opportunities in both product manufacturing and manufacturing services.c
Our future - philosophy and approach
1. Respect the legacy and hard work of the previous owners, 2. Be a good steward of that legacy by growing and continually improving the business while carefully managing risk (i.e. don’t bet the farm), and 3. Utilize the right talent in the right places, supported by the right technologies. These principles have enabled our team to build on the strengths of a great company and move it forward into the next chapter as a more sustainable and competitive enterprise. LR Dynamics is the vehicle by which we will achieve our vision to create a diverse family of companies that together create long-term, sustainable value for customers, employees, owners, and the communities in which we operate. In creating LR Dynamics, we have also expanded our core team to include talented individuals who have skill sets that will enable us to effectively and efficiently find, evaluate, and integrate new companies into our family.
